My assistant sent out a renewal notice with the incorrect rent amount($1000 less than the $2000 that was supposed to be charged)   The tenant replied and signed the renewal. I caught the mistake before the lease was created. I explained the error that was made but the tenant said they are taking me to court and that I should have to pay the $1000 a month difference. Is this not just a notice?   I thought the lease was the contract not the notices that we send.
