I'm trying to clean out some files and wanted to know if anyone knows how long the law requires a landlord to hold onto old tenant leases? Thank you!

If you have it digitally hold on to it for ever as they would take up basically no digital space and you can get an external hard drive. I try to always transfer everything digitally and keep it on file, like at least 15 years worth. I hop is helps, I may keep things a little too long but I think 8-10 years is common as in any tax or legal paperwork.
