security deposit

Hi ,  as per the Maryland state law , i need to place security deposit in a separate account , at the end of the lease whatever i have received , need to handover to tenant including with interest , when i went to open a escrow account , as per BOFA there is no such type of account , i can open Checking, Savings or business account but i have already have security deposit in my check -in account , is it fine to keep in my account and paying the amount + interest to tenant after lease completion date ?can you please help me here  state law   https://www.peoples-law.org/security-deposits
