Background and credit check

I have heard of services that will screen your new tenants including a credit check, calling employers, and calling previous landlords. Does anyone know of a company that does this?

There are many good services out there. Be sure and check with the Fair Credit Reporting web-site for updated information on requirments. http://www.ftc.gov
If you find the answer to this question and have a specific name of a company or instructions on how to do the credit check, please let me know too.
