Insurance

As the owner of the house Do I have to get an additional insurance to have renters?

Your insurance agent can assist you with this as there are several ways to proceed. I actually have less insurance on my rental as I do not need contents to be covered. There is also insurance out there to cover you incase your tenant does not pay or destroys the rental but it is very expensive.
So is there someithing in the lease on this web site that says something about their property not being protected? Is renters insurance something they pay for in order to be protected?
The tenants usually shoulder the renter's insurance. At least, that was the case on our part. Our landlord required us to have one and we purchased through this site: https://www.surex.com/insurance/tenant/edmonton and got an affordable premium. You can also advise your tenant to shop through an insurance brokerage if they want to look for the cheapest quotes. It helps a lot.
