Wife asking us to exclude Husband

Hello, Our married tenants are apparently fighting. The wife just asked us if we could change the locks on the door and NOT to inform the husband. She said the local police department told her to ask us to do this. The home is located in California, in Riverside County. We haven't spoken with the police department about this matter to confirm this. We plan to tell her that since both parties signed the lease, then we will not get involved in their dispute. What else should we consider?

I have to say these are the worst circumstances from my experience. Since they are both on the lease they both have rights. You must respect that right. Get a Lawyer! and Good Luck.
